Man, its been forever since my last update.
I have still been hammering away on the music videos, though sunday, my primary editing box got caught in some crazy reboot loop. Two days later, I bite the bullet and install another drive to serve as the primary, and slaved the existing RAID array.
I didn’t lose any data, and I think in the end I am coming out better.
I had tried out a lot of different editing suites before settling on my current config, and I imagine that played a part in the driver conflict I experienced.
After getting the editing gear and plugins loaded, that machine is screaming again.
On the project side, wrapping up the music videos will take another three weeks (I try to tell clients that revisions late in the game spells delay), but I was still able to crank out the first revision of the Cthulhu Key script.
I am planning on shooting that in September, and getting it ready by late October or early November.
I am trying to angle things so that I can shoot sooner, cause I think it would be awesome to have a Halloween screening of it!
It wants to be just like The Evil DM’s Lair
Here is a quick shot from Maya showing one of the sets for one of the music videos I am doing for 10 Million.
I wanted a very urban scene.
You can see alot of tri’s, but I was looking to get something done quickly, and since there won’t be any deforming it’s not really an issue.

downtown is trouble

I found this read over on Pulp 2.0 and I agree completely.
The entertainment industry is heading for change, and I am ready to get over any wall I face.
Yep, I am finally pulling the curtain back to reveal just where the magic happens.
It’s a work in progress but its something I am very proud of.
My lovely wife Lewaine built the desk for me. Did I mention it’s an 8ft long desk!
Yeah, and I kick it old skool when it comes to my Cosmic Entities…

So I have been buried in editing a couple of music videos for a client, so I haven’t had alot of time to work on any props.
Well, with the projects finally getting into the final post phases, I am having a bit more time to work on stuff when the
computer is rendering out the video.
I mentioned this mask back here, and here is an update. I still need to dye the “hair”, but for the most part its complete.
Again, made with existing materials I had around from other projects, this guy cost all of about $2 bucks to make.

Why yes, that is the Call of Cthulhu card game...
It will be great to be able to start production on The Cthulhu Key later this summer.
The highlighted design on the front of the mask is from our friends at Propnomicon.
According to me, that is. Your mileage may vary.
So I see alot of lists of “Hottest SCI-FI babes” that totally ignore some of the most beautiful characters ever created.
Well, time has come to throw off that yoke and give beauty her due!
(btw, some sparkly bikini’s are ahead, so might not be so work friendly…)

2 music videos, a wedding video and alot of prop making and script writing.
Yeah, that’s what I have had doing on since my last post.
I am sitting here now rendering out rain in Maya 2009 for one of the music videos. While that is rendering out, I am pulling keys from the green screen footage we shot.
For fun, Lewaine and I finally got out and about and hit Red River up on Thursday.
Saw a bunch of friends and played poker.
Those of you old timers can remember when this blog was pretty much all poker, all the time. and yes, I can still play…

Yeah, I got it going on
All in all it was a very good Friday indeed.
The rest of the weekend has been video work, catching up on old Power Man and Iron Fist comics and grilling.
Yeah, it’s good to be.
