Oh my arms…

I have been working on tweaking out the workflow to get Poser figures into Maya and MotionBuilder, and while I am close, I am finding things that just make me pull my hair out.

It’s a good learning process, though, however maddening it is at times.

And I am very impressed with how fast the new machine renders in Maya!
Super fast, super goodness.

Now, if I can just fix these arms…

Model work

So I have an idea for an animated story, so last night I started the base mesh for the female characters.

My goal is to build a male and female base mesh that I can then derive all the other characters from, to keep a certain stylized look to the project.

I have patterned her loosely around a Bruce Timm designed female. I will keep posting more as the project comes along.
I will also go into how I rig and animate this character as well.
